Kenta Kito is a director, writer, and producer based in Tokyo and San Francisco, currently studying at San Francisco State University as a Cinema student. Born and raised in Tokyo, he moved to the United States after graduating high school to pursue his passion for filmmaking. With a unique background shaped by diverse cultures and perspectives, he aims to tell stories that connect people across borders and enrich everyday life through the power of film.
He has written, directed, and produced two independent short films, Never Give Up!! and The Isolated Man, which were selected and honored at international film festivals. Beyond directing, he has worked as a set designer on major productions, including Netflix’s The Queen of Villains (2024), the Japanese feature film I Have a Secret (2025), and several Japanese dramas filmed at Tokyo Media City (TMC). These experiences have given him a deep understanding of both creative storytelling and the collaborative nature of film production.
Looking ahead, Kenta’s vision is to create original feature films that combine emotional storytelling with bold cinematic expression. His ultimate goal is to craft stories that inspire, resonate, and bring audiences together across cultures.
